Botswana Tours

A destination for experiencing wildlife par excellence, Botswana is one of the safest countries in Africa and caters mostly for a high-end market to minimize impact on its natural resources. All roads- mostly bad, but the air access is good – lead to Maun, from where they depart again to the Moremi and Chobe reserves and the Linyanti. Some hunting takes place, but it is kept separate from the preferred activity of photographic safaris of the closest and most dramatic encounters with wildlife in the world.

Opt to discover hippos, crocodiles and the abundant water birdlife on a mokoro (dug-out canoe) tip with an old-fashioned guide, or approach the animals on horseback or in a 4x4 game-viewing vehicle. Be sure to head into the mystical Tsodilo Hills to get a glimpse of the mythical past of the River Bushmen and other northern tribes. The Kgalakgadi offers an alternative set of things to do: transverse it on the highway to Namibia and have an intimate experience of the life of the San hunter-gatherers that still live there.
