Are you travelling or thinking of travelling to Zambia and are a bit worried about the health and medical side of things and want to know a bit more?

    • You must have a yellow fever certificate if you are travelling from an area that has been infected.
    • Doctors advise people to take prophylactics two weeks before you go and to continue taking them two weeks after leaving, however it is always best to discuss with your doctor which medicine would be the best for you before you travel.
    • Also drinking the water abroad is always a concern, however in the major towns the tap water is safe to drink.
    • In areas which are perhaps more remote then you should always boil it first. Or if you really are not too sure then there is bottled water available in the bigger towns.
