Things to do in Namibia

Balanced between the Kalahari and the South Atlantic, Namibia is one of the youngest countries in Africa with perhaps the oldest culture. With a striking diversity of cultures and national origins, Namibia is ‘photographer heaven’– it boasts wild seascapes, rugged mountains, lonely deserts, stunning wildlife, colonial cities and lots and lots of wide open space.

With a relatively arid terrain with a dry climate, Namibia has some of the world’s grandest national parks, ranging from the wildlife-rich Etosha National Park to the dune fields and desert plains of the Namib-Naukluft Park. Windhoek, is the country's capital, with an ethnic mix of people, while surfers and beach-lovers should head for Swakopmund.

Travelling through Namibia has been likened to walking through a dream where time, space, landscapes and experiences just roll into one another. So take a deep breath and inhale it all.
